Setting up a solar panel system requires items such as solar panels, a charge controller battery, an inverter, some cables and connectors, and other accessories.

Solar panels are made up of solar cells which are responsible for creating electrical energy when exposed to light.

Charge controllers are responsible for regulating power coming from the solar panels with the right current and voltage and delivering it to the battery. This is vital for efficient battery charging.

The battery is needed for storing power from solar panels based on its amp hour rating.

An inverter converts the direct current (DC) generated by the solar cells and stored in the batteries into alternating current (AC). Most electrical appliances require AC.

Here I have categorized for you what you need to buy in relation to the appliances you are using in your house. There are 3 groups: Light, Medium, and Heavy Users.
